Tuin — your running twin

What's new

A week-by-week look at what's new in Tuin — newest first.

Founder pricing and refer-a-friend

  • Founder pricing is here: lock in €4.99/month for life. The price goes up soon — but as long as you stay subscribed, yours never does.
  • Invite a friend and you both win: they get their first month free, and when they subscribe you get a free month too (or credit toward Tuin merch). Grab your link in Settings → App.
  • The coach's note on your Strava runs no longer mentions your heart rate — plenty of you keep that private — and its little signature now sits at the end, under the read.
  • Race week sharpens now: a short session at goal pace four or five days out and a few strides the day before, so you start fresh instead of flat.
  • Tuin now celebrates your birthday: a card on your home screen with a run to mark the day, and if you run it, Strava says so. Add your date of birth in Settings → App.

  • Founder pricing: lock in €4.99/month for life. The price rises soon, and as long as you stay subscribed, yours stays put.
  • Refer a friend: they get their first month free, and when they subscribe you earn a free month too — or credit toward Tuin merch. Your invite link lives in Settings → App.
  • Your Strava write-up is more discreet: heart rate is never mentioned there any more (it stays in the app, where only you see it), and the “Planned by tuin.run” signature moved to the bottom, under the coach's read.
  • Race week now sharpens instead of only resting: your plan gets a short session at goal pace four or five days before the race — the work cut right down, the pace untouched — plus a few 20-second strides the day before, so you reach the start line fresh but not flat. On trail it's uphill only, never descents.
  • Tuin celebrates your birthday. On the day, your home screen opens with a card that wishes you a happy one and points at a run — the session already on your plan, or an easy idea if the day is free — and the coach greets you in the chat too. Run that day and Tuin marks it as a birthday run on Strava; your age never leaves the app. It needs your date of birth, in Settings → App.

Phone reminders and sharper coaching

  • Pre-run reminders can now buzz your phone's lock screen — no email needed.
  • Tuin now reads your cross-training too — a gym session, ride or yoga gets a short note on how it helps your running, or when to keep the next run easy.
  • New Journey tab: your finished races are kept for good, next to a live picture of the block you're in — weeks banked, distance against the plan, and your consistency streak.
  • A new plain-language page on the science behind your training (tuin.run/method), plus training-intensity modes — Cruise, Push or Beast.
  • New — this Sunday note itself. Your email address now lives in Settings → App, set once, and that's where you turn this off.

  • Fixed: when you ask Tuin to analyze a run, it no longer mistakes its own Strava note for something you wrote. Tuin's short write-up on your Strava activity is now cleanly separated, so the coach reads only your own words back.
  • Fixed: a workout that reaches Tuin from both Apple Health and Strava now counts once, not twice. If you sync Health and Strava, the same gym session or run could land twice and quietly inflate your training load — Tuin now spots the twin and keeps the Strava copy (it carries the richer data). Marker entries some companion apps write alongside the real workout, like a 60-second placeholder, are ignored too.
  • On a phone, Return in the chat box now starts a new line instead of sending — so you can answer several questions in one message. Tap Send when you're done. (On a computer, Enter still sends; Shift+Enter makes a new line.)
  • Fixed: typing in the chat on an iPhone no longer zooms the whole page in. The chat box also grows as you write, so a long message stays readable while you type it.
  • Settings is shorter: Membership now sits under App, and Calendar export under Reminders — five tabs instead of seven, so the row fits on a phone without scrolling.

Catalan, VO2 max, and calendar sync

  • Tuin now speaks Catalan — the whole app, your plan and reminders included.
  • Your estimated VO2 max now sits on the dashboard, with race-time equivalents from 5K to marathon.
  • Subscribe your plan to Google or Apple Calendar, with reminders the evening before and the morning of each session.
  • New runners pick a goal on day one, and the coach follows real training doctrine — periodization, spacing, taper.
  • A public About page, an installable home-screen icon, and friends can join with a short access code.

Tuin is born

  • The big rebuild: Home, Calendar and Activities tabs, with the coach chat always at hand.
  • Fitness, fatigue and form charts — with a plain-language guide to every number.
  • Tuin learned Spanish, miles, and step-by-step structured workouts.
  • After every run, Tuin reads it and writes its take onto the Strava activity.
  • Your plan bends around life: B-races, vacations and sick days.
