Tuin · roadmap

What happens next, and what your joining unlocks.

You came in early, so you get the honest version: what already works, what's coming, and which parts I genuinely can't put a date on because they depend on someone else.

Two lists below. The first is by date — things I control. The second is by how many of us there are — things that only make sense to build once there's a group to build them for.

Part one

The next months

Dated where I can commit to a date. Undated where it isn't mine to promise.

August 2026

The whole coach, on your phone

Your plan, your morning message and the read after every run all work today, on TestFlight and Google Play testing. Runs get in by dropping a .fit, .gpx or .tcx file, or by logging them by hand — both feed your training load exactly like an automatic sync would.

Week of 24 August

Last beta week, then Apple

Final fixes, then the iPhone build goes in for App Store review. Nothing you're already using changes underneath you.

You are here
1
1 September

Tuin opens properly

General availability on iPhone, and the first day I start telling people about Tuin in earnest rather than one runner at a time. The founder price — €4.99/month — stays yours for as long as your membership runs, including after it becomes €8.99 for everyone else.

2
September

Three languages, properly

English, Spanish and Catalan — the coach writes in yours, not a translation of someone else's. The first push goes to the clubs and the group chats, because that's where running actually happens.

No date — waiting on Strava

Strava connecting reopens

Connecting Strava is paused because Strava caps how many runners we may connect at once. I've asked for that cap to be raised. The moment it is, connecting reopens and I'll mail you the same day — and until then, file drop and manual entry give the coach everything it needs.

3
October – December

The autumn block, and the races in it

The stretch where a plan earns its keep: Valencia, the winter halves, and the spring-marathon builds that start in November. Expect the coach to get sharper about race weeks and taper, because that's what you'll all be doing at once.

4
January 2027

New year, new runners

The month everyone decides to start. The second real push, and the point where the group gets big enough for the second list to move quickly.

5
When Tuin leaves beta

The price becomes €8.99

For new members. Not for you — that's the whole point of the founder price, and I'm not going to be clever about it later.

Part two

What unlocks as we grow

These aren't dates, and I've deliberately not dressed them up as dates. Each one is work I'll start when there are enough of us to justify it — device integrations in particular take real weeks, and an approval from the other side.

Now
you're here

The whole app, and a price that doesn't move

A free first week with nothing held back, then €4.99/month locked for as long as you stay. No tiers, no feature behind a second paywall.

25
members

First in the queue when Strava reopens

Whatever capacity Strava gives back first goes to members before anyone else. If the cap lifts in stages, you're in the first stage.

250
members

Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto — the watch on your wrist

At two hundred and fifty I take the watches on, Garmin first because it's the one most of you ask for. A commitment to start, not a delivery date: every one of them approves developers on their own schedule, and I won't promise you something I don't control. Deeper Apple Watch and Wear OS sync lands in the same stretch.

1000
members

You pick the next one

At a thousand I stop guessing. Members vote on what gets built next and I build the winner — and I'll publish the count, so you can see it coming.

Three things that won't change

Your routes stay yours

Tuin never stores where you ran — only the numbers it needs to coach you.

Your price is locked

Founder members keep €4.99/month while their membership stays active. It doesn't quietly rise at renewal.

No upsell before your race

Everything Tuin can do is in the price you already pay, on your most important week as much as any other.

Why some of this has no date

Strava's connection cap and Garmin's developer approval are decisions made by Strava and Garmin, not by me. I'd rather show you an honest gap than a date I'd have to walk back — every item above with a dashed marker is one of those.

If you want the second list to move faster, the single most useful thing you can do is bring one running friend in. That's not a growth trick, it's arithmetic: these unlocks are counted in members.

Questions, or something you think should be on this list — reply to any Tuin email. It comes straight to me.
